Day 2 & 3: MRDC Console Install
Much of days two and three were spent mapping the magnetic filed of the new magnet. The cryo-shims were improved upon and then the field was mapped. Mapping was done over many hours using an auto-mapping protocol. The room temperature shims were then installed and calibrated.

The new helium and nitrogen flow meters clipped on to a nitrogen exhaust port.

Doors on the new console.

The mapping probe with a deuterium sample.

Hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of equipment and Varian still uses a box for a shim mapper stand.

Host computer setup in room 117A to more easily operate and observing mapping activities.

Shim power supply.

New flowmeters in place on nitrogen stack.
