Day 1: Delivery and Setup
Nanuc is proud to host the newest magnet at the University of Alberta, the Magnetic Resonance Diagnostic Center's (MRDC) 600MHz actively shielded system. Installation began on April 25th, 2005 by Ian Davies of Oxford Instruments. Equipment was unpacked and the magnet was roughed into position. The TMC anti-vibration legs were placed into their approximate positions and the shipping restraints were removed from beneath the cryostat. At the end of the day the outer vacuum container (OVC) was being purged with a turbo pump. Stay tuned for more installation updates.
